Just for you

A very happy Thursday out there and a special hello to my new followers - you are very welcome - I don't make anything fancy - I make lots of mistakes and your comments good or bad are always appreciated.
The green flower panel is raised on sticky dots and I've used water colour pencils for this card - I have to be honest and say I hate the chipboard button - it will have to go .

I'm back with a slight change - I used the green flower above added some white and  lilac ink then stuck on little gems -I then went around the edged and lifted up alternate petals - I'm much happier with this but if you have any better ideas let me know.

A heads up to crafty Tasmanians

A few weeks ago I dragged my DH to see the murals on show in Sheffield and ( being the lovely man he is ) he asked if I would like to go on to Spreyton and look in Bevs Cross Crafts ( I've never been before ) . This store is huge - they have an amazing range of craft goodies - more dies than you could ever imagine ( I may have to give in and buy a Big Shot or Cuttlebug ).

There was so much on offer I didn't actually buy anything - sad but true- Anyway the point of this post is that Bevs Cross Crafts are now online - you can purchase to hearts content - so happy shopping.

Stitched leaves

I stitched this panel over a year ago and then didn't use it as it looked a bit drab on the cream background-    it has been sitting on my desk in a whole heap of stuff to be put away - I have to admit I am an untidy crafter - I looked at it yesterday afternoon and decided if I had an orange flower in my stash I would put a card together . It's quite cheery now and better than I expected .

For my dear Auntie

My auntie is the only close relative I have left -  now in her mid eighties she tells me every year that the number of cards she receives is getting smaller as friends and relatives pass away . Each year when I make her birthday card I keep my fingers crossed that it wont be the last one I send to her.  I hope we will both be around to celebrate her 100th birthday.

The view from my craft room window

I love this time of year ,the earth is still warm from the summer sun and the days have crisp mornings which turn into beautiful sunny days with the bluest of skies . The four pictures above shown my view as I craft. This room has windows on too sides and when I look out from the windows behind me the cows graze happily in the warmth of the sun.

Shaker Card

We have a new challenge at Creative Craft Cottage - Something Yummy  to Eat or Drink - Our sponsor is The Cutting Cafe - the winner can choose 3 sets -  I must admit I was bit a worried as I'm not very good at cutting out- the templates are great to use - keeping the fold of my card stock as the top I cut out the card and covered the front with pink paper - then cut out just the frame which I backed with a piece of acetate  -

these sets have lots options -I could have filled my jar with jelly beans- buttons - hearts or the strawberries - there are lots of sentiments to add to your card - once my strawberries were cut out and coloured I stuck them to the pink paper and then added the frame dropping lots of green and red sequins . I picked out the top decoration I liked and the sentiment -
We would love you to join in our challenge but please make sure you follow our blog - the ladies on the team have made some amazing cards so check them out.

New challenge at Creative Craft Cottage

This is my card using an image from  Lemon Shortbread - I fussy cut her out and then used a die cut sheet from a pack which had 18 die cut designs ( passtime crafts ) . To bring the whole thing together I punched out some green circles to add to the center of the purple spots.

My card using an image from Karleigh Sue - My die cuts are the scalloped edging and the word party - I paper pieced her dress and added glossy accents to her shoes and clutch bag .

Creative Craft Cottage- challenge 37 - Use a die cut - For this challenge we have two sponsors - Karleigh Sue  and  Lemon Shortbread . Pop over to our blog and see what the other DT members have created. We would love you to play along but please make sure you  follow our blog. Have fun.

3 for Thursday

This was supposed to be a quick card with a tag - I stamped the sentiment on the pocket at least six times and I wasn't really happy with any of the results . The white embossing powder is not really white enough.

a couple of DAD cards - hate making cards for males but it has to be done.

Quite like the flip flop cards - so effective

Have a safe and happy easter holidays.
